Accountability Partner Checkin Sheet

A weekly checkin that fits in 20 minutes and never turns into a lecture.

What you are working on

Checkin length

Weeks to print

Do the daily part in the app

One sheet per week, one page each. Nothing on this page is saved or sent anywhere.

How to run the checkin

Type both names, pick what you are working on, and choose how long you have. The agenda scales to 10, 20, or 30 minutes and the questions lean toward your focus.

Print one sheet per week, or four at a time for a month. Fill it in together during the call, or each fill your column beforehand and spend the time on the questions.

The order matters. Wins first, the number second, obstacles third, and the change for next week last. Partners who start with what went wrong quietly stop booking the next call.

Why most accountability partnerships fade, and how this one does not

Partnerships fail for three boring reasons: the checkin has no shape so it drifts into chat, one person starts feeling judged, and a busy week goes unmentioned and then the next one does too.

The agenda gives it shape. The question bank keeps it interesting after week three. The text template covers the weeks you cannot meet, so one skipped call never becomes a dead partnership.

The weekly sheet handles the big picture. The daily part, the checkin that says you showed up today, is what Habit Huddle does: each of you tracks your habit and cheers the other one on, and the weekly call gets shorter because you already know how the week went.

One sheet per week. Both names, both weeks, one page.

Questions people ask

What should you ask an accountability partner?

Start with a win, then the plain number of days done, then what got in the way, then one specific change for next week. Rotate in one question from the bank when the conversation stalls. Never open with what went wrong.

How often should accountability partners check in?

Weekly for the conversation, daily for the habit itself. A weekly call catches patterns; a daily checkin, even a one-line text or an app tap, is what keeps the habit alive between calls. Fortnightly is where most partnerships quietly end.

What if my partner had a bad week?

Then the sheet has a rough week on it. That is the whole point of the sheet. Ask what got in the way, agree on a smaller version for next week, and book the next call. Nobody ever quit a habit because their partner was too kind about a bad week.

Can I use this with a group instead of one partner?

Yes. Print a sheet per pair and run the agenda as a round: each person gives a win, a number, an obstacle, and a change. For groups of four or more, keep it to 30 minutes and skip the questions, or you will run long every time.
