Sober Days Counter
Days sober, money kept, and what tends to change around this point.
Money kept
Drinks not had
Next milestone
A slip resets this counter, never the days you already had. Put in the new date and keep going. Daily checkins with a couple of friends who cheer are what make day 60 happen.
If you have been drinking heavily or daily for a long time, stopping suddenly can be dangerous. Talk to a doctor first, or call SAMHSA's free helpline. Your date, drinks, and cost stay in this browser only.
How to use the sober days counter
Enter the date of your last drink. If you have not stopped yet, pick a date ahead and the page counts down to day 1 instead.
Add a normal week's drinks and what one costs. The counter turns your days into drinks not had and money kept, both running totals.
The date stays in this browser, so the count is right when you come back. Nothing is sent anywhere. Tap Forget it to clear it.
What the milestones mean
The first week, two weeks, a month, 60 days, 90 days, half a year, and a year each mark a real shift: sleep, then mood, then money, then identity.
The page also tells you what usually changes around your current day, including the day 45 slump that catches people after the congratulations stop.
A slip resets the counter, not the progress. Sixty good days still happened. Put in the new date and keep going.
Questions people ask
How do I count sober days?
Count days since your last drink. If your last drink was Friday night, Saturday is day 1 and you are 1 day sober. This counter uses that rule, so day 30 lands exactly 30 days after the last drink.
What happens at 30, 60, and 90 days sober?
By a month, most people sleep better and studies of moderate to heavy drinkers show blood pressure and insulin resistance improving. Around 60 days mental clarity feels normal rather than lucky. By 90 days the habit loop is mostly rewired and the risk shifts to big occasions.
Is it safe to stop drinking suddenly?
For light and moderate drinkers, usually yes. If you have been drinking heavily or every day for a long time, stopping suddenly can cause dangerous withdrawal. Talk to a doctor first or call the free SAMHSA helpline at 1-800-662-4357.
What keeps people sober past the first month?
A replacement for the old evening routine and someone who sees the daily win. Habit Huddle turns alcohol-free today into a checkin you share with a few friends who cheer, which is what makes day 45 easier than day 1.
